TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to all dealings between you (“the Customer”) and The Reserve (“we”, “us”, or “the Company”), including the purchase and sale of luxury timepieces and related services. By placing an order, selling an item to us, or using our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

2. Our Products

2.1 Accuracy of Information

We aim to ensure that all product details, images, and specifications are presented accurately. However, descriptions are provided for guidance only and may contain minor inaccuracies or omissions. All items are sold in their existing condition at the time of sale.

2.2 Pre-Owned Watches

Many of our watches are pre-owned and will naturally show signs of prior use. Any notable defects or alterations identified during inspection will be disclosed where reasonably possible prior to purchase.

2.3 Pricing and Taxes

All pre-owned watches are sold under the VAT margin scheme, meaning VAT was settled at the time of the watch’s original purchase. Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise. All prices are subject to change prior to order confirmation but will remain fixed once your purchase has been completed.

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP). VAT is included where applicable unless stated otherwise. Prices may change at any time prior to purchase but will not change once an order has been confirmed.

3. Purchasing from The Reserve

Once payment has been received and cleared, a binding contract is formed. Ownership of the watch transfers to you once the item has been dispatched.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order where:

• payment cannot be verified,

• incorrect information has been provided, or

• fraud or misuse is suspected.

4. Selling Your Watch to Us

4.1 Initial Quotations

Any quotation provided is an estimate based on the information and photographs supplied by you and is not guaranteed.

4.2 Authentication & Assessment

All watches received by us are subject to professional inspection to confirm authenticity, condition, and mechanical operation. This process may take up to 10 working days.

If the watch differs from the description provided, we may amend our offer or decline to proceed with the transaction.

4.3 Payment for Accepted Watches

Once a final price has been agreed, payment will be issued by bank transfer within 7 business days. Offers expire after 7 days unless otherwise stated.

4.4 Consignment Sales

Where agreed, we may sell your watch on a consignment basis. Ownership of the watch remains with you and we act as your agent to sell the watch on your behalf.

A separate consignment agreement will be entered into confirming the agreed price and terms. All consigned watches are listed for a minimum period of 30 days unless otherwise agreed in writing.

A commission fee of 6% of the final sale price will be deducted from the proceeds. Payment of the remaining balance will be made by bank transfer within a reasonable timeframe following receipt of cleared funds. If the watch does not sell, we may agree to extend the listing or arrange return of the watch at your cost.

5. Delivery

5.1 Responsibility for Delivery Details

You are responsible for ensuring that all delivery information is correct. We are not liable for loss or delay caused by inaccurate or incomplete address details.

5.2 Courier Services

We use insured postal and courier services such as Royal Mail and other reputable carriers. When a courier confirms delivery, the item will be treated as successfully delivered.

Any delivery dispute must follow the courier’s investigation and claims procedure. For Royal Mail, claims may only be initiated 14 days after the stated delivery date.

5.3 Shipping Charges

Shipping costs are displayed during checkout or confirmed in writing and are payable by the buyer unless agreed otherwise.

6. Returns and Faulty Items

6.1 Pre-Owned Goods

Due to the nature of pre-owned luxury watches, we do not accept returns for change of mind.

6.2 Defective Items

If a watch is discovered to have a serious undisclosed fault, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery and return the item within 7 days.

All returned watches will be examined, which may take up to 14 working days. If the fault is verified, we will provide either a repair or a full refund.

7. Payments to Third Parties

In certain cases, payments may be requested to a nominated beneficiary as stated on your invoice. These parties are authorised to collect funds on behalf of The Reserve.

Payments made in accordance with invoice instructions shall be deemed final and complete. We accept no responsibility for losses resulting from incorrect or misdirected payments.

8. Warranty

8.1 Manufacturer Coverage

Where a watch remains under its original manufacturer warranty, any claims must be directed to the manufacturer.

8.2 Company Warranty

For pre-owned watches not covered by a manufacturer warranty, or where that warranty expires within three months of purchase, we provide a limited mechanical warranty lasting up to twelve months from the purchase date.

8.3 Making a Claim

Warranty claims must be submitted within the applicable period. The watch must be returned at the customer’s expense for independent inspection, which may take up to 10 working days.

8.4 Exclusions

Our warranty does not cover:

• cosmetic wear or ageing,

• accidental or liquid damage,

• misuse or neglect,

• unauthorised repairs or modifications.

We reserve the right to repair or refund at our discretion where a valid claim is confirmed.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Reserve shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income, profit, opportunity, or personal injury arising from any product or service provided.

Our total liability in any case shall not exceed the original purchase price of the watch concerned.

This limitation extends to our employees, partners, agents, and authorised beneficiaries.

10. Legal Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

11. Amendments

We may revise these Terms from time to time without prior notice. Updated terms will apply to all new transactions from the date of publication.
